A few weeks ago, the Parish Council posted details regarding the Leeds Local Plan and potential development sites in Gildersome. So far, we are aware that only a few residents have written or emailed their comments and objections. If we do nothing, Leeds City Council will literally bulldoze many of these development plans through.
We understand that the following development areas identified for Gildersome by Leeds City Council are subject to the developer’s proposals if they consider the sites to be viable, and that they will subsequently be subject to planning applications before any development can take place.
We’re excited to be planning the Gildersome Light Up Event, taking place on Saturday 22nd November 2025 — a much-loved event that brings our village together to kick off the festive season.
